How do I get a headstone proof approved online?

Email us the proof PDF and the family's email or cell number. Within 1 business day the family gets a private link with your shop's name on it. They check every name and date, then approve with a typed full name or ask for a change. You get the record by email.

What happens after I send my first proof?

We reply within 1 business day and send the family the link. You get an email when they approve or ask for a change, plus a signed record you can print. Your first month is free. Then it is $19 a month for a shop. Cancel by email any time.

Email works fine for us. Why change?

An email "looks good" comes from one person, on one version. With MonumentProof every family member can open the same link, one person types a full name on the exact version, and you keep a record you can print. Try it free on your next proof.

What does a wrong inscription cost a shop?

A wrong date or name on cut granite means a new stone or a resurfaced face, new lettering, a second setting trip and weeks of delay. It can also become a dispute about who gave the date, as in this case reported by WRAL. A signed record of the approved version shows what the family approved.

My families are older. Will they use a link?

The link opens on any phone, from a text message or an email. There is no app and no account. If a family prefers paper, print the record and have them sign it in the shop.

Who are you?

MonumentProof is run by Delty, Inc., 156 2nd St, Suite 607, San Francisco, CA 94105, founded by Lalit Kundu. Email lalit@monumentproof.com. We reply within 1 business day.

What should a family check before they approve a headstone proof?

Every name and its spelling, every birth and death date, the epitaph wording, the stone size and colour, and the font and layout. The Legacy Headstones buyer guide gives the same advice.

Is a typed or electronic signature valid for a monument order?

US law generally accepts electronic signatures: the federal ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. 7001) and the state UETA laws. We are not lawyers, so check your own order terms. You can always print the record for a signature in ink.

What is in the approval record?

The typed name, the relationship, the decision or change request, the date and time, the version number, the file fingerprint (SHA-256) of the exact proof, and the page address.

How do I stop an old version of a proof from being approved?

Each proof you send gets its own version number and its own link. When you send a corrected proof, the family approves the new version, and the record names that version.

Can I keep using Monu-Cad or Design Mart?

Yes. Email us the PDF or JPG you already export from Monu-Cad, Design Mart, CorelDRAW or any other tool. MonumentProof does not replace your design, order or invoice tools.

What do you do with family data?

We use your proofs and family contacts only to send the approval link. We never contact your families for anything else. Read the privacy policy.

What does MonumentProof cost?

The first month is free. Then $19 a month for a shop and $99 a month for a manufacturer that sends proofs to many retailers. Cancel by email any time.

How is MonumentProof different from MonuOS or TributeIQ?

MonuOS ($60 a month) and TributeIQ (proofs from the $99 plan) are full shop systems. MonumentProof is the approval step only, at $19 a month, for shops that keep their current tools. Read the MonuOS comparison.
